Maine's high school training programs offered at regional technical schools are the only source for entry level training into the logging industry in Maine. Click on 'High School Training Programs' to the left to learn more.

Maine's Community College System offers a variety of related courses and programs that can be valuable to Maine's logging industry. However, there are no post secondary training programs in wood harvesting operations in Maine. Programs such as heavy equipment maintenance, heavy equipment operation, diesel maintenance as well as other related topics are offered at different campuses across the state. Two campuses of the University of Maine System, Orono and Ft. Kent, offer bachelors and associates degrees respectively in Forestry. Click on 'University of Maine System' to the left to learn more.
